Relief Carinthia Gallery presents a wonderful representation of the landscape, showing Carinthia and its vicinity accurately by means of a topographical representation on an area of 182 square meters, the largest sculptural representation of its kind in Europe. The production of a large and accurate representation of the entire province of Carinthia was begun in 1889 by the then headmaster of the Villach School, Ernst Blois, at the General Assembly of the Villach Section of the then German and Austrian Alpine Societies. The city offered the association a place to establish it, after which it began to be manufactured on April 1, 1891. This was done by some teachers of the technical school and participating students, and the rest of the material costs were paid by donations.
