Republic of Turkey - Presidency of Religious Affairs
Turkish Religious Affairs is a government department established to manage religious institutions and authorities within the Turkish Republic, as it was established in 1924 AD under the Turkish constitution as an explicit successor to the religious hierarchy in the Ottoman era under the Islamic caliphate. Today, the activities entrusted to this institution have multiplied. In addition to its major role in preserving religious buildings in the country, it provides briefings to Turkish tourists about Islamic history, accompanied by tours and trips to mosques and religious temples.
