Roman Forum and Archaeological Museum
The Roman Forum and the Archaeological Museum are located in the town of Assisi, about half an hour away from the city of Perugia. It was found during excavations in 1836. The ancient Roman Forum can be accessed through the Romanesque crypt in the former church of San Nicolò "de Platia", which displays sarcophagi and collectibles. inscriptions from Assisi and its surroundings, and three marble statues preserved in the Forum.
