Rotonda di San Lorenzo

The Rotonda di San Lorenzo is one of the oldest buildings and churches in the city. It was built in the late eleventh century AD on the ruins of an ancient temple. It is one of the destinations that attract tourists from everywhere, thanks to its majestic Roman architectural design, which is very similar to the Church of the Resurrection located in the city of Jerusalem. It is also home to a unique collection of frescoes and marble pieces from the Byzantine school.
