The Sacred Heart Cathedral in Sarajevo was built in 1889 in the neo-Gothic style. Hungarian architect Josep Vancaš was inspired by the idea of designing it from Notre Dame Cathedral in Dijon in France and St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague; Tourists and visitors visit it to enjoy the beauty of its architecture and to learn about its history.
