Sağlıklı Roman Road and Gate
It is known that most of the highways used today follow the ancient ways in design, and it is clear that the road of the Roman neighborhood of Salklı today has been greatly destroyed, which was known as the most important road connecting the Mediterranean Sea with Central Anatolia in history, while extending north to the Taurus Mountains from Hills whose height does not exceed 200 m. There is also a huge gate at the summit of the road which overlooks the plain of Tarsus down to the sea, but as no inscription of the building has been found, the cause and date of its construction are unknown, and this one-arched door, built with simple craftsmanship, was recently destroyed by distributed dynamite around it, and was incorrectly rebuilt using existing stones.
