St. Michael's Castle, also called "Mikhailovsky Castle" or "Castle of the Engineers", is a former royal residence in the center of the historic city of Saint Petersburg, Russia, built as a residence for Emperor Paul I by architects Vincenzo Brenna ( Vincenzo Brenna) and Vasili Bazhenov in the period between 1797-1801 AD, and now it embraces a branch of the Russian Museum, and includes statues and pictures of Russian rulers.
