The Samtavru Monastery is located in Mtskheta, Georgia. It was built in the 4th century by King Mirian III and rebuilt in the 11th century by King George I. It is an important historical and architectural monument of the Middle Ages. It is worth noting that the famous Georgian monk Gabriel was buried in the yard of this church.
