Shali Fortress

Shali Castle, located in the heart of the city of Siwa, is one of the most important historical monuments in the city, as it dates back to the thirteenth century and is composed of a group of interconnected buildings built of bricks and mud. A storm befell the city, causing severe damage, as a result of which the city's residents moved to modern buildings outside the walls of the castle. During their wanderings in the old town, visitors will find the remains of this castle and some of its rooms, which are now used for storage.
