Shoe Museum Volken S. & M.

The Vulcan S&M Shoe Museum welcomes visitors and tourists to Lausanne in the 5,000 years of shoe history that can be seen and touched. The museum's collection presents reconstructions of shoes and other leather accessories documented exclusively by archaeological finds, and each piece here is the result of research carried out on the original parts found through archeology. Here you will find the first leather shoes produced in the city, and the heels and shoes that were covered with fur for the first time in order to get enough warmth in the winter.
