The Shubra Museum Palace was established in 1995 AD within a historical building built in 1904 AD in the city of Taif. The palace was a residence for the royal family in the city before it was opened as a historical museum, and it is currently widely known among the tourist places in Saudi Arabia. The museum building is distinguished by its unique architectural style. In which the Roman and Islamic character blends with some of the traditional architectural styles of the Hijaz region at the time. The museum consists of a basement with four floors above it, along with some external extensions and gardens, and includes 150 rooms that house archaeological exhibits.
