Sideyri Island
Sedir Island, also known as Cleopatra Island, is a small island in the Gulf of Gokova, southeast of the Aegean Sea, and is part of the Turkish province of Mugla. It is famous for its beautiful beach. According to legend, Anthony and Cleopatra swam here and the sand was brought by ships from North Africa. It is said that this type of sand can only be found in Egypt, which is why the beach is heavily guarded by the government to prevent any sand from being removed from the beach.
