Sierra de las Navajas Mountin

The Sierra de las Navajas is a mountain formation located in the southeast of the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, where it separates the Basin of Mexico from the Tlancingo Valley, which in turn is part of the basin of the Meztitlán River. This mountain appears at the tip and middle of Hidalgo, and it has great importance in the archeology of Mesoamerica, as it formed one of the main volcanic deposits that were traded in the major states of Central Mexico during pre-Hispanic times, and it was used on a large scale to manufacture weapons of Mesoamerica.
