Silo da Memória

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the April Revolution, sculptor Alberto Vieira designed a monument honoring Salgado Zenha under the title “The Silo of Memory.” It is inspired by the shape of a silo that evokes the idea of storing memory. Each of these rings consists of 25 elements suggesting books or documents related to the history of the memorial. The monument was designed from a stainless steel sheet, and the illustrations and informative text were obtained to decorate it on the monument's facade using a laser cutting process.
