The Basilica of St. Clemente is an imposing church with a unique architectural design and origins dating back to the period between 1110 and 1130. It was built over a pagan temple and a Roman house. It also consists of 3 churches and a group of monuments dating back to early Christian times. It is home to an unparalleled collection It has 12th-century mosaic panels, distinctive frescoes, and other wonderful treasures.
