St. Ignatius Parish Church
St. Ignatius Parish Church, also known as Water City Parish Church (known locally as the Two-towered Church) is located in Mendezente Square in the main square of Water City. The building is a wonderful work of Hungarian Baroque architecture. The Jesuits appeared in the water town of Esztergom in 1686 and built the present Baroque church in honor of St. Ignatius of Loyola between 1728 and 1738 at the former Water Gate.
