State Gallery of Art
The State Art Gallery was originally established in Sopot in 1952 and was part of the city's cultural renaissance after World War II. It was born out of the Fine Arts Festival that opened in Sopot in 1948. It was renamed the State Art Gallery in 1992. Today the gallery has a calendar of regularly changing temporary exhibitions spanning an area of 1,200 square meters that continue to highlight the work of artists in a wide range of modern and traditional art forms from Poland and beyond. The gallery also hosts workshops and popular evenings designed to draw the attention of young and old to art.
