Strelasund

Strelasund is a lake in the Baltic Sea, which separates the island of Rügen from the German mainland, and is crossed by a road and a railway bridge called Rugendam, and extends from northwest to southeast from a small shallow bay north of Strelasund, and the width of the lake does not exceed 3 kilometers, while its length about 25 km. On the side facing Rügen Island, the beach has many steep cliffs interspersed with reed bushes in some places, while on the main side, the beaches are quite flat, allowing for recreation and various sporting activities.
