The Japanese army forced the villagers to build a road from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son, and the road met in the Tai Bai River area near Tai Bai village, so a bridge was built using elephants that dragged tree trunks from the forest, but in 1946 World War II ended and he left Japanese soldiers burned the bridge, and in 1973, the locals rebuilt the bridge and called it the World War II Memorial Bridge, and it lasted for several decades until it was destroyed by severe floods that struck the Bay area. In 1976, the bridge was rebuilt to become known as the "Tai Bridge." Bay" and continues to be a reminder of the history of the region for the new generation.
