Tahrir Square is the largest square in the city of Cairo in Egypt, and it was called Ismailia Square after Khedive Ismail, then the name changed to “Tahrir Square”; Relative to liberation from colonialism after the 1919 revolution, then the name was officially established in the July 23 revolution in 1952. It is the square in which millions of Egyptians gathered on January 28, 2011, demanding the resignation of former President Hosni Mubarak from the presidency of the Republic, and this square symbolizes the freedom and steadfastness of peoples.
