Ten Boom Museum
Ten Boom Museum
An interesting museum, which was originally a house belonging to the Dutch family of Ten Boom, which was specialized in the trade of watches, and during the Nazi occupation of Harlem, the family provided a safe haven for Jews and other survivors underground, or in a hiding place specially built for them. And later also, thanks to their social network, they smuggled refugees until they were betrayed. There was only one survivor left of this family, and she was able to tell their story and write many manuscripts about what she went through in her life. This museum was opened on her birthday in the year 1988, which shows you the place where the Jews hid, and you will also see all the corners, furniture and components of the house as they are from sofas, antiques, bedrooms or dining rooms, and various and luxurious furnishings, and it is worth noting that the house is a unique masterpiece and a wonderful example of classic Dutch architecture.
