Terra Nostra Park

Terra Nostra is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the heart of São Miguel Island. Its history dates back to 1775 when the American merchant Thomas Hickling fell in love with the Furnas region and decided to create a quiet natural sanctuary in it, along with his large collection of camellias (more than 600 species, some of which are unique in the world) and other rare species, the park is famous for its thermal pool, which is filled with volcanic water from hot springs with a constant temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, rich in iron and other minerals that are extremely beneficial to the skin and create unparalleled relaxation.
