The Beersheba Great Mosque is one of the first mosques built in the Negev, and it is located next to the ruler’s house in the Old City. It is also considered part of the Negev Museum of Art complex, in addition to that it has an architectural design similar to mosques built throughout the Ottoman Empire, and it is inspired by The Byzantine Hagia Sophia church, which was converted into a mosque by the Turks, is one of the most remarkable and impressive buildings in the area.
