This museum is the largest museum in the city of Inverness. The museum covers three floors of the former lieutenant's house in Fort George. The museum contains approximately 20,000 military artifacts such as shields, weapons, and bullets from the Victorian era, and about 10,000 documents and pictures from different time periods. In the summer months, the local school of dolphins can be seen from the ramparts. The museum includes a wonderful souvenir and antique shop.
