The Mirror Bazaar

The Inverted Bazaar is of great importance in Canakkale, as it is one of the most visited historical monuments by tourists, if not the most. The construction of this covered market dates back to the end of the seventeenth century when one of the prominent Jewish merchants in the city wanted to honor the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II, so he financed the construction of the bazaar in which trade flourished for several centuries and today it is specialized in selling souvenirs, traditional crafts and handicrafts, in addition to the presence of shops that sell other goods.
