The Silk Museum

The Silk Museum tells a unique story about the relationship between people and societies, and the famous silk industry. It is the only museum in Lebanon that produces and teaches silk extraction. Its weight is half a milligram, so that the silk threads are extracted from its cocoon after a month, and nine threads are gathered together to form one thread, because the thread extracted from one cocoon is very soft and can hardly be seen, and the museum aims mainly to preserve the legacy of Mount Lebanon, which was distinguished by producing the best types of silk In the nineteenth century.
