Description of the place
Kato Mili windmills are superbly located on a hill overlooking the sea to harness the strong north winds of Mykonos. The windmills are an important symbol of the island's history, and many of them have been renovated and restored to preserve their beauty. There are no windmills in operation today, but many have served as homes for local residents and cellars for many of Mykonos' heritage documents.
