It is centered on an island linked by a causeway that leads to a path between the two most romantic lakes in Hanoi: West Lake and Truc Bach Lake. This Buddhist temple is the oldest of its kind in Hanoi, dating back to The sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De Dynasty, and it has undergone several changes over the years, and although it is now located on an island within the West Lake, it was originally located on the banks of the Red River before it was moved in 1615 AD .
