Trigonion Tower

Perhaps the most impressive tower in the city walls and one of Thessaloniki's most iconic landmarks, this is a medieval masterpiece. Having been built in the second half of the 15th century, it was used as a gun runway and artillery tower and was a strategic location during sieges or raids. While standing by the tower and the main gate on the highest part of the walls, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent view of the Gulf of Thermaikos and clearly see the boundaries of the ancient city which today is in fact an amazing historical center.
