Underground Street

This so-called Miguel Hidalgo Underground Street in Guanajuato runs beneath the city's historic center and is considered unique for its architectural characteristics and levels on which Guanajuato was built over more than four centuries. Half a century ago, most city cars roamed this street, but in the past the waters of the valley flowed where the first urban settlements were built, and in 1963 AD, the city began an ambitious project by constructing a main road, to turn it into the amazing Miguel Hidalgo subway street.
