Veliki Park

This garden is located on the site of an old Islamic cemetery, established by Musaluddin Haji Mustafa Shukrikiah, at the end of the sixteenth century, in the year 1526. After he donated the land to the city, he died and was buried here in an unknown grave without any stone indicating his burial place. With the establishment of the Austro-Hungarian administration, burials in the city center were prohibited for reasons of hygiene. This cemetery was converted into a public park, and many types of beautiful plants were planted, and it was designed in the style of English natural gardens. This park is now a great place for recreation and rest, we advise you to visit it!
