Description of the place
Verida do Areiro is a 7km nature trail that takes about three and a half hours to walk, connecting two of the highest peaks of Madeira; Pico Ruivo (1,862 metres) and Pico do Arero (1,817 metres), an amazing course that includes interesting tunnels and some steep slopes with great views of the central heart of the Madeira Island mountains and the natural surroundings.
