Versailles Cathedral
Versailles Cathedral was originally a small church that was supposed to be the southern wing of Notre Dame Versailles, but in 1740 King Louis XV decided to convert it into a large church. The church officially became a cathedral after the French Revolution and was home to many important events such as the swearing-in ceremony of Pope Pie VII on January 3, 1805 during the coronation of Napoleon I.
