Viktring Abbey

Vickering Monastery was established in 1142 AD by Cistercian monks from Villers-Pittnach Monastery in the Duchy of Lorraine, and it is distinguished by its impressive and distinctive interior and exterior design that made it one of the most prominent buildings in the city, as it is dominated by Gothic and Baroque design with large glass windows. It is surrounded by a picturesque garden and a flowing river, which added a kind of charm and beauty to the monastery. And located near the monastery is the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which has an exceptional Baroque style.
