Wat Phutaesawan Temple is a Buddhist temple of great historical importance located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It was one of the famous royal temples during the reign of King U-thong, who ordered the construction of the temple in the royal compound where he resided before the founding of Ayutthaya. It is famous for having a tall white tower, many golden Buddha statues, and other distinctive monuments.
