Wat Umong
Built into the side of Mount Suthep and built from a series of tunnels around the year 1380 of the 14th century mad monk Thera Jan, this unique temple is famous for its sylvan and ancient chedi, atop a brick platform intertwined with walkways. As you wander through the arched tunnels, you can see traces of original murals and many venerated Buddha images.
