Wilhelmshuh Castle is a neoclassical palace located in Kassel, built in the late 18th century and used extensively by Emperor Wilhelm II as a summer residence and personal retreat. Today, the palace houses the Art Gallery, and has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum displays a unique collection of furniture and fixtures from the Empire period in more than 20 rooms, such as the dining room, picture gallery, writing room and bathroom, where furniture and furnishings are displayed, in addition to many historical paintings from the eighteenth century.
