Willingdon Island

Willingdon Island is the largest artificial island in India, and it is also considered one of the most important landmarks in the city of Kochi because the city's main port is located there. It is a relatively new island that was established in the year 1936, and was named after the first Earl of Willingdon, who was the Viceroy of India at the time.
