Windknollen hill

The Winknollen Plateau is located near the city of Jena, and its height is about 363 meters above sea level. Green meadows extend in the area, similar in nature to North American meadows. They are semi-arid and not used agriculturally and have been classified as a nature reserve. The reserve includes orchards of fruit and thyme. Frogs, grass snakes and a group of insects live in the wet areas.
