The ruins of Weinburgh Castle, built in 1240 AD, lie on the north-west town border, 80 meters above river level, and can be reached by a stroll from the market square through the Indert Valley. This castle was besieged and seized in 1689 AD by the French army, and no one has touched it for 330 years. Today, entertainment and musical programs are held for adults and children alike.
