Wolvesey Castle
Wolfsey Castle is the main residence of the bishops of Winchester during the Middle Ages and beyond. It was built during the Anglo-Saxon period around 1100 AD and destroyed in the civil war. It was rebuilt in the late seventeenth century. Visitors can see two ancient halls, the Gardrup Tower and stables from the eighteenth century. One of the parks suitable for picnics with the family.
