Acropolis of Athens

The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient rocky hill that contains the remains of many ancient buildings of architectural and historical importance, the most famous of which is the Parthenon. Fifth BC, after the victory over the Persians and the establishment of democracy, a leading position among other cities in the ancient world, and in the era that followed, with the flourishing of thought and art, an exceptional group of artists transformed this rocky hill into an artistic and unique monument.
