Affenberg Landskron

The Avenberg Landskron Zoo takes you on an educational nature journey through the forests of Villach and its protected urban areas, across an area of 4 hectares. The park includes a large group of Japanese macaques, in addition to a number of distinctive bird species. During the winter, students are invited to join lectures and collect data for their dissertations, and are trained in fieldwork and in a nearby laboratory to promote a better understanding of the field of behavioral genetics.
