Al Mintarib Castle

Al-Muntrib Fort was built during the thirteenth century AD in the center of the town of Al-Munterib in the Badia state within the Al-Sharqiya governorate to shelter all residents from enemy attacks. It was restored during the reign of Imam Azzan bin Qais Al-Busaidi to become the legislative and administrative center of power in the region. This square-shaped fort extends over An area of 900 square meters, and it includes high and fortified walls punctuated by small windows. In the past, this fort was the center of religious power in the city.
