Description of the place
The Alcazaba is the oldest castle in the Alhambra Palace, and its primary function was to provide protection and shelter from external attacks, so it was the main residence of the sultans and nobles, as it was built by Muhammad I, and his son Muhammad II resided there. Until the palaces were built, and since then this castle has been used as a fortress for military purposes only.
