Description of the place
The Alicante bullring is one of the oldest active arenas in Valencian society, and inside you will find a unique bullfighting museum. The arena was built in 1847 by architect Emilio Jover, and in 1884 it had to be renovated due to its deterioration. The greatness of the arena and its great capacity give an idea of the importance of bullfighting in Alicante during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
