The National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, or as it is also called the "Shrine of the Homeland", is one of the most important and prominent tourist attractions in Rome, which is frequented by tourists greatly. It was built in Rome in honor of the first king of unified Italy, Emmanuel II. Its base is a small museum that displays many ancient coins and costumes, in addition to a collection of weapons dating back to the First World War. The monument also includes a panoramic elevator that enables visitors to climb to the roof of the building and enjoy a wonderful view of the city.
