Description of the place
Aphrodisias is located in southwestern Turkey, and it is an ancient archaeological site that includes a group of marble quarries dating back to the second century BC. The site, including temples, a theatre, an agora, and two bath complexes, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2017.
