Archaeological Museum of Corfu

The main objective of opening the Corfu Museum of Archeology was to display the archaeological collections discovered in the excavations of the Temple of the Goddess Artemis, but it also expanded to include collections of art and antiquities found in the old church in Corfu, a number of pieces of unknown origin, and others from the excavations of the old town in Corfu. Museum visitors see statues of Greek gods, artifacts, and ancient equipment that reveal many details about aspects of Greek daily life at home, art workshops, and markets.
