Archaeological Museum of Sao Miguel de Odrinhas

When you visit Sintra you will see clear signs of Moorish occupation and Christian colonization, but you will rarely see signs of other civilizations that settled there as well. In the Archaeological Museum of São Miguel de Odrinhas, you can go back to the first century BC and visit visible walls and booths of Roman ruins, as well as a structure dating back to the third and fourth centuries AD that is believed to have been a temple or mausoleum, and you will also find the Church of São Miguel and a medieval cemetery that was Used from the twelfth to the sixteenth century.
